TEMPLE OF THE SUN. ARCHAOLOGICAL MUSEUM.

Visit the Archaeological Museum of Sogamoso. This preserves the majority of the Muisca culture remains. This also keeps a large diversity of artifacts related to this and other Colombian indigenous cultures. In the outside corridors you´ll observe ethnographic replicas of houses and the most important temple ever constructed by the members of the Muisca culture to honor the Sun; the monument to the aboriginal leader or “Cacique” Sugamuxi among others

Mongui has been considered the most beautiful town of Boyacá. Its quite ancient main square, the Basilica, the enigmatic monatery a masterpiece of the monumental architecture from the XVIII century and the Calicanto bridge full of stories all along its paved narrow streets. As a souvenir you can choose from the wide variety of hand made balls.
